The training carriage for the Hitachi Rail Europe plant in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham rolled off the 229 metre long vehicle carrier Höegh London and into the Port of Tyne on Sunday 18 January. These new trains will be assembled in the UK at the state-of-the-art factory in Newton Aycliffe and will play a key part in transforming travel for thousands of passengers on some of our busiest rail lines. Romag is delighted to be working with Hitachi providing side windows for the Intercity Express Programme for both East Coast Mainline and the Great Western Mainline.
